A truck fire in Janesville caused an estimated $60,000 in damage to the truck and an adjacent garage, with no one injured in the fire, authorities reported.

The fire happened at about 9:30 a.m. Monday at 2423 South River Road, the Janesville Fire Department said in a news release.

The truck was parked outside next to the garage. When firefighters got on the scene, the truck was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire spread to the garage, which was detached from the residence. The fire was contained in about 30 minutes.

The Janesville Fire Department was assisted by the Town of Beloit Fire Department. Crews remained on the scene for about two hours.
