A body believed to be that of a missing boater was recovered Tuesday night in Lake Kegonsa, the Dane County Sheriff's Office said.

The body was recovered about 7:15 p.m. after the sheriff's Marine and Trail Enforcement Unit and other agencies searched the lake for a man missing since Saturday after jumping from a pontoon boat near Amundson Landing and Park, 3302 Quam Drive, in the town of Dunn.

The man did not surface after jumping in, the sheriff's office said. The search ended Saturday night and resumed Sunday morning. After the body was found, the sheriff's office said, the Fish Camp Boat Launch, at Fish Camp County Park in McFarland, was briefly closed so sheriff's detectives and crime scene personnel could conduct an investigation.

Man's identity was not immediately released.
