A man who allegedly deployed pepper spray into a Columbia County sheriff's deputy's face during a traffic stop has been arrested, Sauk County officials say.

At 6:06 a.m. on Wednesday, the Sauk County Emergency Management Office posted a Nixle alert saying Joshua T. Martin was arrested by law enforcement officers and that police are not seeking additional suspects.

Columbia County Sheriff Roger Brandner told the Daily Register earlier this week he believes 30-year-old Martin, from the Milwaukee area, temporarily blinded deputy Michael Rosecky.

Dash cam video footage from the incident was released Tuesday and showed Rosecky draw his firearm in what Brandner described as self-defense after his safety was compromised.

He said Rosecky was treated at a hospital and is recovering well.
