BBC, England's national broadcast media giant, has named Madison one of the five greatest college towns in the world.

The other great college towns, according to the BBC, are Cambridge, England (University of Cambridge); Valparaiso, Chile (four major universities); Kingston, Ontario (Queen's University, Royal Military College of Canada); and Uppsala, Sweden (Uppsala University).
"With its downtown on a narrow isthmus between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona, and the college campus spread along the lakeshore, Madison is perhaps one of the loveliest college towns in the US Midwest," the BBC said.
So, since UW-Madison has already been called "the Harvard of the Midwest," can we now say UW-Madison is also "the Cambridge of the Midwest"?
