A group of top Madison restaurants are joining together to put on a dinner in the country on Grampa's Pizzeria owner Gilbert Altschul's family land in Blue Mounds.
Joining Grampa's are Underground Food Collective, A Pig in a Fur Coat, Heritage Tavern, L'eft Bank Wine Company and Imaginary Bar. The businesses are raising money for Second Harvest Food Bank.
The Walnut Hallow Collaboration Dinner will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Aug. 4. It will feature a family-style pig roast and spit-lamb roast, along with a champagne and cocktail hour including shared starters.
"It promises to be a great event and we hope to raise a good amount of money for Second Harvest Food Bank," Altschul said.
The $200 event includes transportation to and from the event, food and beverage, tax and gratuity. The dinner will be limited to 70 seats. Buses leave at 5 p.m.
Imaginary Bar is a yet-to-open cocktail bar designed to compliment Grampa's that Altschul is converting from an old house at 1380 Williamson St.
