Dear Editor: Some people are worried about artificial intelligence. But if we can create an intelligence that's smarter than us, why not take advantage of it, and use it to make decisions for us that we are too dumb to make for ourselves? Like voting, for instance. We could use it to decide our elections for us, since the majority of the people don't understand democracy. Just give all the information about the candidates to A.I., and let it choose the most qualified candidate.

For instance, if A.I. had been given the job of choosing our president in 2016, what would have been the result? Most likely, it would have said "Are you kidding?" Then it would have given off a little puff of smoke and melted down.
