The kindergartners are doing a project called "ish" inspired by the book by Peter H. Reynolds. The goal is to practice drawing something with mistakes and knowing it is okay to get close-ish to your original idea. Here is Raya Moore with her project.

Sarah Krajewski has a mantra she says with the kids. It is: "I am positive. I am creative. I am mindful. I am amazing. I am an artist. "
Small artistic details enliven Sarah Krajewski's classroom.
Mrs. K has names for everything in her room. She said, "Naming things is key. Helps me, helps the kids! The little table, early finishers table, heels on the gray line, motivation board, and bean table. There are so many things."
Oscar Brown reaches for a paintbrush as Oliver Miller works nearby.
"I love teaching kindergarten artists because everything is magic to them. I get applause from mixing a new color or ooohs and ahhhs from using glitter," Sarah Krajewski said. "They are so excited to create and that is great energy to be around."

Krajewski's classroom doesn't have any windows, but it does have three new skylights that help bring in natural light. Here, Krajewski chats with Gracie Rude (left) as Oliver Miller looks on.
