Sterling North, author of RASCAL, wrote his autobiographical story about his adventures while growing up in Edgerton.  RASCAL has been published in 26 different languages and was made into a Disney movie.  Many Japanese come to visit the home because of the popularity of the animated cartoon that became as popular as our Mickey Mouse.

The house has been beautifully restored to its 1917 setting, complete with the chicken wire protecting the Christmas tree so that Rascal wouldn't destroy the shiny ornaments. You do not have to have read the book in order to enjoy visiting this wonderful Edgerton treasure.  However, if you have read the book, you know that along with visiting the home, you might want to visit other locations mentioned in the book:  Saunders Creek, Racetrack Park, Indianford and Lake Koshkonong.

Take the opportunity to step back to a better era!
