Natasha Bouchette is the youngest of the three living generations of female painters in her family. She enjoys painting bright-eyed animals and dark landscapes. Natasha is also the only one of the three ladies with photo prints in the art display this year.
Gail 'Abi' Fleming is the wild and colorful artist of the family who deserves the credit for exploring new surfaces. The painted windows on display have all come from construction companies and locals who renovated their properties. You can see her painted windows hanging in the windows of Wisconsin homes, since clients prefer to see them with the light of the sun shining through them.
Millie Kastner is 93 years old and is still painting on canvas and some reclaimed windows. You can see pictures of her childhood in the pieces she creates; horse-drawn carriages, quiet cabins, and peaceful countryside. In the fall of 2017 Millie suffered a stroke and, while seated in her hospital bed, she was still painting on small bits of canvas and teaching nurses how to do the same.
Exhibit is on display at the University Hospital in the C5/2 Surgical Waiting lounge. Parking is available in the hospital ramp for a fee.
