Travel back in time and experience the golden age of cinema at EAA’s Skyscape Theater Royale, a series of classic aviation film screenings. Each film begins at 6:30 p.m. in the museum’s Skyscape Theater, an intimate setting with a 50-foot screen and state-of-the-art projection and sound systems. (Seating is on a first come, first serve basis and is subject to capacity.)

February 7, 2019, 6:30 p.m. – Red Tail Reborn

This wonderful documentary follows the tale of the restoration of a P-51 Mustang that honors the Tuskegee Airmen of the 332nd Fighter Group. They were the first fighter group made up completely of African-Americans.

March 7, 2019, 6:30 p.m. – WASP: A Wartime Experiment in Womanpower

The Women Airforce Service Pilots were a group of women who took on the job of flying high-performance combat aircraft during a time when many felt that women were not able to fly these types of aircraft. This movie will be presented by director John Anderson.

April 4, 2019, 6:30 p.m. – Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo

Join us for this classic film that covers America’s first strike back in World War II with the daring Doolittle Raid. Joining us this evening will be family members of the famous Raiders.

May 2, 2019, 6:30 p.m. – Cold Blue

Follow this beautifully remastered wartime-footage filled documentary about what life was like for bomber crews in World War II.

June 6, 2019, 6:30 p.m. – The Longest Day

Join us on the anniversary of the epic D-Day invasion to remember those who fought for our freedom.

August 1, 2019, 6:30 p.m. – Twelve O’Clock High

This classic film takes a hard look at what the men were up against in the bomb groups in World War II

September 5, 2019, 6:30 p.m. – Flight of the Intruder

The A-6 Intruder flew dangerous missions into enemy territory during the Vietnam War. Our special guest for this showing is Jim Severud who flew in the Intruder squadron depicted in this film.

October 3, 2019, 6:30 p.m. – Air America

Come explore the friendly sky over Southeast Asia as we fly along with cargo pilots dropping anything, anywhere, anytime. Special presenter will be Air America pilot Neil Hansen.

November 7, 2019, 6:30 p.m. – Top Gun

Fly along in the mighty F-14 Tomcat as we present this blockbuster film on the big screen.

December 5, 2019, 6:30 p.m. – Tora! Tora! Tora!

Follow the telling of the secret attack planned on the base at Pearl Harbor, which would thrust the United States into World War II. Special presenter is Taylor Stevenson who flies for the Commemorative Air Force Tora! Wing.
