CHEROKEE MARSH SPRING BIRDS
Look For Spring Birds! Take a Self-Guided Bird and Nature Walk at Cherokee Marsh, 6098 N Sherman Avenue. Follow walk paths and maintain safe social distancing of at least 6 feet.
Look for a colorful Warbler in the trees, a Bluebird near a nest box in the prairie, and a Red-winged Blackbird in the marsh along the Yahara River. How many other birds can you find? Bring binoculars or a camera if you have one. Post your bird sightings, bird ID questions and pictures on the Friends of Cherokee Marsh Facebook page!
When regular outing schedules resume come back to enjoy Naturalist led Bird and Nature Outings at Cherokee Marsh at 1:30pm the 1st Sunday every month co-sponsored by Madison FUN partners Madison Parks, Madison Audubon, Sierra Club and Friends of Cherokee Marsh.
