The Evansville 4th of July Run/Walk will be a virtual run/walk due to COVID-19. The theme is: “Stay safe, be active!”   This virtual run event allows you to run/walk/jog a 1mile/5K/10K/anytime, anywhere.  All participants are expected to practice social distancing by choosing the location of their exercise, whether on the treadmill or in your neighborhood.  Participants have from July 1 through July 15 to record their time and share their run/walk experience.   

All registrations will include a collector’s edition high performance T-shirt featuring “VIRTUAL 2020” over the logo.  Special pricing for children 12 and under:  $15.00

This year in support of COVID-19 relief efforts, a portion of all proceeds will go to the AWARE Agency of Evansville.  AWARE serves low-income families in the Evansville School District with emergency assistance (rent, utilities, medication),home deliveries of food, drivers education scholarships, school supplies, holiday programs and more. Prior to COVID-19 food went home with students from school.  In the midst of COVID-19,  AWARE has doubled the amount of food provided and is delivering it to homes.  The event will also continue to support Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Evansville Soccer Club, and the Deb Olsen Scholarship Fund.
