Facilities Repair Worker - Advanced
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Recreational Sports
has an opening for a facility and equipment maintenance worker.
Responsibilities include:
• Perform routine maintenance on the facility and fitness equipment
• Complete work orders and scheduled preventative maintenance
• Inspect the facility for issues and repairs, report and resolve accordingly
• Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of outdoor recreation areas including: grass fields,
synthetic turf fields, sand volleyball and tennis courts.
Qualifications:
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to independently assess problems and develop solutions
• Knowledge of building systems, facility repair, and mechanical diagnostics
• Basic computer skills (e.g. email, work order software)
This position will work at the brand new $87.5 million 240,500 sq.ft. Nicholas Recreation Center.
The new multipurpose facility will house eight basketball courts, 30,000 sq.ft. of fitness space, five
multipurpose studios, and a competition pool. Find more information about the facility at

The work schedule will be Monday – Friday 7:00am-3:45pm. Starting pay is based on experience
with a minimum salary of $17.00/ hour plus a full range of excellent benefits.
