Epic Systems Corporation is looking to fill a job opening
for one Norwegian Translator to work in Verona WI.
This is a temporary, full-time position to start on
October 1, 2019 and end on November 30, 2021.
Duties: Will work with a team to translate between
English and Norwegian. The primary responsibility
will be to translate software strings and related
documentation from English to Norwegian. Will also
contribute to localization, software quality assurance
(including incorporation of customer feedback), and
terminology management.Will perform translation work
related to the full scope of Epic’s software applications,
which might include clinical, registration, and billing.
Will work closely with software development, quality
assurance, implementation, support, and sales teams.
Requirements: Must be able to speak, read and write
Norwegian and English fluently. Must have native-level
fluency in Norwegian. Must pass Epic’s standard prehire assessment test, which tests general logic, writing
and translation abilities necessary to perform the job
duties. No minimum education or experience required.
Work Schedule: Full-time based on a 40 hour
workweek, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The
employer will provide to workers at no charge all tools,
supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
On-the-Job Training: Paid training in Epic’s software
and business practices is provided. Wage Range:
$58,000 to $80,000 per year depending on degree (if
any) and experience (if any).
Salary Deductions: Epic will make all payroll deductions
required by law. Employee can elect to have charges
from Epic’s employer cafeteria deducted from their
pay. Employer will not make any other deductions that
are not required by law. Transportation: From the place
from which the worker has come to work, whether in
the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, if the
worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the
employer will reimburse the worker for transportation
and subsistence (including meals and, to the extent
necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the
place of work. Upon completion of the work contract
or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will
provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return
transportation and subsistence back home or to the
place the worker originally departed to work, except
where the worker will not return due to subsequent
employment with another employer. The amount of
transportation payment or reimbursement will be
equal to the most economical and reasonable common
carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will
be provided at a rate of $12.46 per day during travel
to a maximum of $55.00 per day with receipts. Threefourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer
employment for a total number of work hours equal to
at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12-week
period of the total employment period.
