Pets Available for Adoption at the
Carl W. Nelson Animal Shelter
“Changing the Future of Animal Sheltering”
P.O. Box 345, Mauston, WI 53948 •
Gentle Uno came to us at the
beginning of August, and she’s
starting to feel kind of sad about
that. She and her littermate have
been in the shelter longer than
any other animal here, and no
one is quite sure why. Uno is a
very quiet girl who never bothers
anyone at all. She would prefer
to gaze out the window rather
than rough house, though she
does enjoy climbing up high to
survey her room. This lovely
lady does very well with her feline roommates and enjoys the
company of the other mellow kitties. Uno is so hoping that
some kind person will open up their heart and home so that
she can spend her very first Christmas as part of a loving family.

Our shelter is located
at W5096 State Rd 82 E,
Mauston WI
Hours of Operation:

Monday – Closed
Tuesday: 12-3 PM

Magnus is a German short haired
pointer who is about 2 years old.
Enthusiastic and outgoing, this
friendly boy loves to play outside
and would enjoy a yard of his own.
Found as a stray in Juneau County
and never reclaimed, Magnus is now
searching for just the right place to
call home. He does need some work
on his leash manners, but his sheer
joy at being around people makes
him forget what he’s learned and
act like a goofball. He works very
hard on keeping his kennel clean, and gets so excited for treats.
Magnus has been great with all the dogs he has encountered, and after
a meet and greet is done he’d likely welcome a canine playmate or
two. With oodles of personality and an adventurous spirit to match.

Magic is a handsome
young man, full of fun
and loves to play with
his roommates. He has
a shiny, black coat which
he keeps meticulously
groomed. He is about 6
months old, neutered and
up to date on vaccines. Stop to meet him
if you are looking for a wonderful feline
