The Big Ten Network announced that it will air the University of Wisconsin's football game at Iowa on Oct. 18 at 11 a.m.
The good news is that the telecast won't leave thousands of local Badgers fans in the dark, as Charter Communications and Time Warner Cable reached deals to carry BTN just before the start of this season.
BTN's contract gives it the right to air at least one conference game of each Big Ten university each season, and depending on what ABC and the ESPN family of networks desire, more games can end up on BTN.
Last season, five UW football games aired on BTN - non-conference games against Citadel and Northern Illinois and conference games against Indiana, Ohio State and Minnesota.
Two of Wisconsin's non-conference games were on BTN earlier this season and the season finale non-conference game against Cal Poly is a likely candidate for BTN.
The Hawkeyes and Badgers will be playing for the Heartland Trophy in the heated rivalry. Wisconsin leads the all-time series, 41-40-2.
