Metro Route 5 will detour for Juneteenth Day Saturday
Juneteenth Day celebrations Saturday will detour the Metro Route 5 northbound bus onto Park Street and Beld Street, but the southbound Route 5 bus will stay on its regular route.
The 19th annual Juneteenth Day celebration will start at 10 a.m. Saturday with a parade from the Nehemiah/Fountain of Life parking lot at 655 W. Badger Road to Penn Park, 2101 Fisher St.
Regular Metro service on Route 5 will resume after the celebration, expected to end about 7 p.m.
